Bache Gabrielsen American Oak Cognac is a truly unique cognac and demonstrates the effort to offer cognac to new customers who are more likely to choose whiskey. The result is a truly delicate and distinctive taste drawing on the tropical flavors of American oak itself. All the conditions and rules for the designation of cognac are observed during production, but the final maturation takes place in new American barrels of Tennessee Oak, for a minimum of six months.
The eaux-de-vie naturally went through the normal maturation process in Limousin oak barrels, but for the last 6 months, cellar master Jean-Philippe Bergier selected American oak barrels from Tennessee for the final treatment.
