The A.H. Riise brand has its roots in the person of the Danish pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who worked on the island of Saint Thomas (in the Danish West Indies) in the 1830s and began producing spirits and rums. "Royal Danish Navy Naval Cadet" is a stylish edition in the "Royal Danish Navy" line, which pays tribute to the naval tradition of the Kingdom of Denmark and specifically to the cadets - i.e. the future officers of the oldest naval academy in the world, founded in 1701. With an alcohol content of 42% vol, this rum is premium and for all lovers of good rum.
Rum is made from molasses, fermentation takes place slowly, subsequent pot-still distillation helps preserve the complex aroma. It is then aged in oak barrels and then blended - the resulting blend is designed with an emphasis on the balance between maritime tradition and taste.
